How to Pray Tahajjud

Tahajjud is an optional prayer performed during the night after the Isha prayer. Here are the steps to perform Tahajjud prayer:

  1. Make an intention to pray Tahajjud for the sake of Allah.

  2. Wake up in the middle of the night, after sleeping for a few hours.

  3. Perform Wudu (ablution) as you would do for any other prayer.

  4. Begin the Tahajjud prayer by performing two rak'ahs (cycles) of prayer.

  5. In each rak'ah, recite any Surah or verses from the Quran that you know or prefer.

  6. After completing the two rak'ahs, you can perform as many additional rak'ahs as you wish, in sets of two rak'ahs.

  7. When you have completed your Tahajjud prayer, perform the Witr prayer, which is a one-rak'ah prayer that is usually performed at the end of the night prayer.

  8. After completing the prayer, make dua (supplication) to Allah, and seek His forgiveness and blessings.

Remember that Tahajjud prayer is an optional prayer, but it is highly recommended for Muslims who wish to deepen their connection with Allah and seek His blessings and forgiveness.
